GRAND NATIONAL
Venue of the Men’s and Women’s 2024 Yellowhammer Invitational
The 7,314-yard Lake course on the RTJ Golf Trail at Grand National features a dozen holes that skirt the banks of Lake Saugahatchee. The 230-yard par three 15th plays to an island green and is perhaps the best one-shot hole on the RTJ Golf Trail.
In 1997, the Lake Course played host to what is now the Korn Ferry Tour Championship, the season-ending tournament for the PGA Tour’s Korn Ferry Tour. The Lake course also hosted the first edition of the PGA Tour’s Barbasol Championship in 2015, played as an alternative event for the Open Championship. On the amateur circuit, the Lake course has hosted events of distinction such as the NCAA D1 Men’s and Women’s National Championships.
The course is part of the acclaimed Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, a visually stunning collection of masterpiece golf courses in Alabama). It has been voted the #1 public golf facility in America by the readers of Golf World.
